Hiking in spectacular Yosemite

We’ve enjoyed the ocean side and now was the time to explore the Californian mountains, lakes, forests and waterfalls as well. Yosemite National Park is the right place to go for this.

We rented a car and spent two nights in a hostel over the weekend in little town called Groveland, situated one hour from the park. Most of the time the boys separated from the girls as they wanted to do some serious hiking :-).

If you decide to go, you shouldn’t miss these points: Valley View, El Capitan on the way to Yosemite Valley, Tunnel View, and Glacier Point is a must. If you have more time we would also recommend you to do hikes to Sentinel Dome, Taft Point, Ten Lakes Trail, Dewey Point Trail, Vernal and Nevada Fall and on John Muir Trail. Half Dome is only for the most skilled hikers (don’t forget to arrange a permit for that). Beware of bears and cheeky chipmunks who will try to get into your backpack though! ;)
